The café overlooks the historic Togetsukyo Bridge and the surrounding natural beauty of Arashiyama, creating an atmosphere that feels removed from the busy tourist paths nearby. Large windows and elegant interiors frame a landscape that has remained largely unchanged for centuries, allowing guests to savor both cuisine and scenery in equal measure.

Part of the contemporary boutique hotel MUNI KYOTO, recognized by the Michelin Guide with a One Michelin Key for exceptional stays, the café reflects the same thoughtful design and attention to detail that define the property. During my visit I found the tranquil, minimalist, design a welcome respite.

Mornings offer a beautifully composed American-style breakfast course if you’re an American breakfast fan. A prix-fixe lunch that pairs appetizers, soups, main dishes, and desserts crafted around the changing seasons was what I enjoyed and I mean, savored. Early evening dining offers a relaxed selection of small plates, pasta, and mains, making the café a welcoming stop whether you are starting your day in Kyoto or unwinding after exploring Arashiyama.
